open up your minecraft.jar and open unzip toomanyitem mod.Drag everything in the folder into your minecraft.jar.Your done!

    Downloaded and extracted into minecraft.jar as instructed above. Now nothing works, not even minecraft. Gives lots of errors in a text window.
    I then removed the 15 files from the download and minecraft still does not work -- only a blank white screen.
    Please help?!

      Go to your minecraft map and delete "bin" then start the game again, it should say "you wanna update now?" Then minecraft is restarted (you keep your safe games) I did the same as you :)
